Course overview
The pandemic exacerbated existing issues within veterinary medicine and created new ones, contributing to a personal and professional pressure cooker. We’ll discuss these issues and what individuals can realistically do amid these challenges. We will highlight what organizations can do to support employee wellbeing and become high performance organizations.
Course Objectives
- Describe the issues in veterinary medicine exacerbated by the pandemic.
- Identify skills of the 21st century: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information literacy, media literacy, technology literacy, and flexibility. (Erdem, 2020)
- Illustrate individual and organizational strengths and strategies.
- Define characteristics of a high performance organization.
